Often described as a cross between a conga (warm tone) and a djembe (big bass), the modern Bougarabou drum can be traced back to the Jola people of Casamance region of Southern Senegal. Our Bougarabou drums are carved in Mali, Ghana, and Ivory Coast, each headed with a hand-picked cow skin to give it the very best sound.
