These Ensemble Rhythms (52), collected over the years by Master Teacher Will Matthews, come to us from various African and Afro-Caribbean cultures and are presented here in a basic, one-bar  ‘root’ form. They were chosen for their power and grace as well as for their accessibility to beginning and intermediate study groups.
